A Note From Pam:
"Yoga with Grace" is more than a Christian yoga practice.
It is also a way of practicing yoga. It is practicing yoga with compassion for ourselves, our bodies and each other.
It is teaching yoga with that same compassion for participants, the practice of yoga and the space where we are gathering. So no matter where I teach or what type of yoga I teach, compassion is the basis for all I do!
                                            Nameste,
                                            Pam

What do classes at Yoga with Grace look like?

Yoga with Grace participants gather on their mats or chairs to begin the
class.  Class opens with scripture and breathing experiences.  There
will be a series of warm-up yoga poses that lead into a variety of poses that
involve bending, stretching, and twisting.  The goal is to move all of the
body within participant’s abilities.  The class will close in a resting
position with breathing and meditation.  Handouts will be given to
participants depending on the type of class being offered.  Handouts are
related to the class and may include the class scripture lesson, related yoga
postures and resources.

Who can participate in Yoga with Grace?

Everyone who wishes to grow in their faith while participating in yoga
poses, breath and meditation is invited to participate in Yoga with Grace.
Classes may be designed for families,  children, youth and adults.  Classes
may also be designed around the abilities of the participants.  For example,
a class may be held in chairs  for those who wish not to be on the floor.

Yoga with Grace classes will usually be set up on a weekly basis.  However,
they can be offered as part of a children’s church or other child or youth
activity.  Yoga with Grace can provide yoga experiences for retreats, Bible
studies, Vacation Bible School and other special events.  Retreat yoga experience might be 20 minutes in chairs between speakers or an experience unto its own.
Yoga may be experienced on the beach or in the woods.

What equipment is needed

Participants will need a yoga mat or towel.
If a chair yoga class is offered, each participant will be provided with a
chair.
