               Please bring your mask and your own equipment.  
​               We will provide cleaners to disinfect chairs.
What to bring:
  • Water bottle
  • Yoga Mat (to put under chair - thinner mat is better)
  • Notebook, pen/pencil
  • Drinks/Snacks
  • Comfortable clothes and layers
  • Class is practiced with bare feet or non-skid socks

What is Chair Yoga Teacher Training?
     Chair Yoga Teacher training is a 12 hour course designed to encourage and empower students to teach yoga to those for who floor yoga is not an option.  The elements of this program have been tested at the YMCA and Councils on Aging.
     Chair Yoga Teacher training builds on your current teacher training and experience through practical and experiential learning by learning to adapt poses for the chair.  This training will encourage and empower you to safely combine the poses you will learn with those you know and your own special teaching style to design a compassionate, caring and edifying practice for your students.

  • Contraindications or Precautions
  • Organizational - music, chairs equipment
  • How to design an  outline
  • Developing a sense of community 
  • Asana, Pranayama, Mudras
  • Practical Teaching
Certificates:
     Upon completion of this program, a student who is certified as a 200 hour RYT will receive a certification as a Chair Yoga Teacher.  A student without RYT certification will receive a certificate of completion.

        first day of training.
